Title: Breast cancer treatment important for women over the age of 50

The good news is that the treatment and survival rates for breast cancer are improving and a lot of this has to do with early detection. The Canadian Cancer Society in partnership with the Quebec Government has a common goal to reduce the mortality rate for Quebec women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. Their goal is to reduce this rate by 25 percent over a 10 year period. This program in targeted for the high-risk breast cancer population of women of 50 to 69 years old.
